God is Joy
The purpose of God's Plan of Happiness for His children:
If we are meant to be like God, our Heavenly Father, and we are meant to have joy, then God must have a fullness of joy. And if he has a fullness of joy, then there is a good chance he most likely has a sense of humor. This page is a collection of evidence to that regard.
- For behold, this is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. Moses 1:39
- But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things. Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy. (2 Ne 2:24-25)
If we are meant to be like God, our Heavenly Father, and we are meant to have joy, then God must have a fullness of joy. And if he has a fullness of joy, then there is a good chance he most likely has a sense of humor. This page is a collection of evidence to that regard.
Evidence
- God: What is that in thine hand?
- Moses: A rod.
- God: Cast it on the ground.
- Moses cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. (Exo 4:2-3)
Here I can just see God trying not to laugh. He provides no warning of what he is about to do, full on pranking Moses. Of course it was going to be used later in Pharaoh's court, but the method in which God presented it to Moses is so… funny.
